Launch Call

The day that I was scheduled to speak with Mr. Brown on the phone again, just happened to be the same day that I was going over my best friend Dave's house. When I got to his house I briefly explained to him what Organo Gold was and that I had a meeting with one of their top consultants. As I expected he didn't think much of it.

After about an hour it was time for me to hop on the phone with Mr. Brown. I told him that I had purchased the gold pack and was ready for the next step. He explained the next step for me is to do what's called a launch call. Mr. Brown asked me to read him my coffee drinker list so he could go over some of the people I planned to contact. Once I gave him some background info about the people I planned to call, he decided it was time to introduce me to the OG sales script.

Mr. Brown had me access the script through my computer and read through it. Once I was fairly confident with it we did a little role playing. He played the role of one of the prospects, while tried pitching him on the coffee. Once he felt I was comfortable with the script he gave me some tips. He explained that one of the secrets of success in Organo Gold is to saturate your personal network with product.

Mr. Brown told me that instead of trying to sell people at full price, offer them the products at a discount. The goal of this launch call isn't to make a profit, it's to get product into the hands of the people I know and make me enough money to get my investment in the gold pack back. So basically I would break even with everything that I would sell. Once that was covered he finished by saying, "ok Chris, I want you to sell twenty boxes. I'll give you a call tonight to congratulate you on your accomplishment. Good Luck!". With that he hung up.

"Twenty boxes!" I thought. The only thing I ever sold twenty of in a single day was five dollar bracelets, and that was for a charity. My friend Dave snapped me out of my thoughts "What the heck was that all about?" he asked. Now that he seemed more interested in what I was doing, I told him about me ordering the gold pack and needing to make some phone calls and get some orders. His response was "You know your dad's gonna kill you when he finds a thousand dollars worth of coffee dropped off in his drive way". It was time for me to start making some calls.
